Alfarnatejo-Comares-Montes de MálagaSelf-guided Walk, Programme Day to DayDay 1Arrive at Colmenar. Transfer to El Aguila Libre. Short walk of 1-2 hours. Overnight in El Aguila Libre. Day 2Transfer and tour in the Sierra de Enmedio ± 5 hours. Overnight in El Aguila Libre. Day 32 peaks in 1 day, Fraille and the Doña Ana (4-5 hours). This route takes you to 2 peaks at an altitude of 1250, it is the habitat of the mountain goat so there is a good chance that you will see them. Overnight in El Aguila Libre. Day 4Leave El Aguilar Libre and head for Riogordo and onto Las Cuevas following the beautiful river valley to the hamlet of Huerta de Ranea where you will stay at Casa Granadina. Day 5Walk in the vicinity of the Huerta de Ranea. About 4-5 hours. Overnight at Casa Granadina. Day 6Continuation of the trek to Montes de Malaga, passing through the picturesque village of Comares that offers magnificent views to the Mediterranean Sea and the Axarquia. Arrive at Finca Serrato where you will stay for the next 3 nights. Day 7 + 8Walking in the Montes de Malaga National Park where there are many beautiful walks. Or if you prefer, a day of rest. Day 9Departure from Finca Serrato. Transfer to bus stop in Colmenar. Food, Accommodation, FlightsBreakfast is included in the package. A picnic lunch can be supplied on your walking days if required or you may like to take advantage of a "menu del dia" at a local bar. Evening meals can be taken at your place of accommodation. At El Aguila Libre you have the use of the kitchen or Denise and Arend will cook for you. Alternatively, in nearby Alfarnatejo there are numerous tapas bars and restaurants to choose from. You may eat at Casa Granadina or in the nearby bar/restaurant of the Bar Ortega which is famous for its home breed lamb. At Finca Serrato you may also order meals or for a good lunch you can go to Venta de la Nada or Venta Pilar. Included:
